West Cattie, constructed in 2013, was a small private cottage in secluded Aberdeenshire. JHJ was apointed to add an open plan kitchen/dining/living area with master bedroom and en-suite; outside it was clad with Scottish larch to fit in with the wooded surroundings. Corrugated sheeting was used on the main roof with a small slated link to the existing stone cottage.
